There are so many spectacular panoramic views when driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina and the Skyline Drive in Virginia for many stops along the way. It is mind-blowing.
Saluda’s name came from the Cherokee word, “Tsaludiyi”, meaning “green corn place”.
Lake Lure is a town in Rutherford County, NC. In 2010 the town population was 1,192. Lake Lure was incorporated in 1927, and acquired the lake after which it is named in 1965. Interestingly enough, the Lake Lure area has been used several times as a filming location.
One gets this pleasant and enjoyable view while sitting from a local restaurant adjacent to the lake.

A magnificent view of the Panama landscape can be seen from both side of the canal.
Back from my cruise trip. Photo shot from the ship en route to the Panama Canal and other ports. Foreground is the busy Mac Arthur Causeway leading to the reputable and trendy South Beach neighborhood.
Taking the almost empty back road from the city of Loveland (about 40 minutes from the Estes Park Entrance) thus bypassing the busy and overflowing main Big Thompson Canyon road, I came across this stunning view of this snow capped mountain.
On sunny days such as this, the mountain peaks and meadows glow in vivid kaleidoscopic display of orange, yellow, deep blue and green.
A perfect example of the constant weather change in the Alpine portion of the Rocky Mountains pNational Park.
