This is a football stadium in Rio which also can be viewed from the Corcovado Mountain. It is one of the most famous stadiums in the world and was a showpiece venue for the Rio Olympics. It also stands as an iconic structure in the lives of the Brazilians.
The stadium was opened in 1950 to host the Fifa World Cup. Renovation of the stadium in 2000 would increase its full capacity to 103,000, but later reduced to an all-seated capacity of 87,000.
