Tuareg of the Sahara, Morocco

The Tuareg (also spelled Twareg or Touareg) are Berber people with a traditionally nomadic pastoralist lifestyle. They are the principal inhabitants of the Saharan interior of North Africa. The name Tuareg is an Arabic term meaning “ways” or “paths taken.”

  1. Very cool picture! And the light in all the Sahara pictures is amazing! I’ve been to Morocco probably 10 years ago, but we didn’t go to the desert. Definitely regret that now! 🙂 Beautiful!
